At our company, we have a special place in our hearts for women and the struggles that many face when trying to overcome the crippling effects of poverty. There are women all over the world who are driven, talented and determined, who just need some help getting their dreams off the ground. Because of this, we give our time and a minimum of 10% of our profits to promote and fund small business microloans and training programs for women entrepreneurs all over the world and here at home in the United States. I have traveled to meet with many of the recipients and have seen firsthand how education and microfinance can completely transform a life from poverty to prosperity. Many pieces in our line are designed in honor of – and named after – one of these amazing women. As the company grew, so did requests for jewelry that addressed cause-related issues beyond poverty, such as breast cancer, domestic violence and other health and social matters.
